Scrap Pink and New Design Team

Today I have some News to share!! I have been chosen as one of the new design team members for Addicted Scrappers! For the next three months I will be creating projects with their fabulous monthly kits- be sure to check them out because the October kits are irresistible ;)
This weekend I went to the Scrap Pink even that my locasl scrapbook store (Chasing Rainbows) was hosting, it was a lot of fun- especially because I got to leave Katelynne with grandma on Saturday! It was the first time I had left her that long and it was so nice to get a break- even though I was too tired to accomplish much LOL! The card above was a make n take that Brooke taught during the crop- I'll share photos of the other things I created later this week :)

Mommy Moments MOSD Contest Album

I made this album for the MOSD guest designer contest on the Pub Calls blog. I am really excited about it, not only because it's for the contest but also because it's another album that I made not for sale, but with my own photos and memories in it! It's also my first acrylic album!!

I called this album Mommy Moments and I made it all about my favorite photos and stories since becoming a mom! I envisioned it as a way to treasure the parts of being a mom- ultrasounds, stretch marks, Lucas' surgeries, naughty things too! I wanted my kids to be able to look at it someday and know that I cherished the moments with them as young children. It's something every "mommy" should make :)

Below are just a few photos from inside the album- not the whole thing, this album is HUGE! If you are interested in Midnight Oil Scrapbook Designs products you can visit their website HERE. My favorite part of this album was that you get to punch the holes yourself so you can make the album pretty much anyway that you want! Soooo.... wish me luck and Pub Calls will be announcing the winner on or before Oct. 10th!

This page was done using the pagemaps sketch provided special for this contest.
Love this back page- I made a frosted look on the acrylic with a sponge and some making memories paint. Then I added a rub on to the outside of it, so when you look at the back of the album it frames the last page!

Rags N Tags Lovey

I made this little lovey blanket for katelynne earlier this week. I had noticed how she was more interested in the tags on some of her toys than the toy itself, and so went looking up tag blankets on ebay and etsy. I was surprised at all the beautiful ones I found! It only took me about 30 minutes to whip this one up for Katelynne, then later that evening I made two more to sell in my Etsy shop! Another really neat thing about them is that you can hook the little plastic toy loops on them and voila! It can have all kinds of toys or a binky attached to it too!
I'm calling them Rags N Tags loveys because I actually made them in rag quilt style, using four blocks of fabric I had leftover from recent rag quilts I made. I think that the frayed fabric will give little fingers even more things to feel and look at besides the pretty ribbon "tags"! I had so much fun making these I am even thinking about making some min pillows and possibly a full sized Rags N Tags quilt!
Here's a pic of the blue and red one I made for my Etsy shop:

These aren't listed yet, but you can find them within the next day or two HERE!

FINALLY a designer album for me!

The new K&Co Berry Sweet paper is perfect for Katelynne- because she's so sweet ;) When I saw these lime green gift bags at Wal-Mart I KNEW what I wanted to do with them. I am so excited to have finally taken the time to make this album for myself rather than just another one to sell. I plan to use photos of this album to apply for design teams and to apply for publication- so if the pictures disappear, you know why! I have wanted to apply for a long time but haven't actually had the projects to show for it- because I always sold them all! Anyways- here's the album:

This page has a fold out flap for more photos and journaling (not written yet), look below for a detail shot.
Ok, are you drooling? Want an album like this one? GOOD NEWS! There is one in the works for Ebay or possibly Etsy :) I'll post pics as soon as it's done! I have another adorable project (it's from the sewing machine!) That I'll be sharing tomorrow :)

AND, your daily dose of Katelynne lol!! I swear I would take more pics of Lucas... if he would just hold still!

Photo Frame

I'm playing a little catch up with blog posts, so I hope you all enjoy :)

Here's a project I made a few weeks ago, it is made usinig a photo frame- remove the back and then take a piece of glass from another frame (cheapest you can find!) that is the same size, and add photos and paper to the glass. I then glued both pieces of glass to the frame (sandwiching the photo and paper between the glass pieces). My most favorite part of the project was adding the embellishments and rub ons to the FRONT of the glass! This is displayed on my built-in shelf in my dining room.
And some eye candy in the form of Katelynne, I absolutely cannot resist sharing these photos because they are SO DARN CUTE! This is the first time she has had her hair in a pony too!

Supply Sale

YAY - motivation to get rid of my extra overflowing pile of scrapbook supplies! I have a lot to sell so be sure to search for my stuff :)
Also- I have been researching handmade shopping cart covers on Etsy, so anything you purchase from me will go towards purchasing this for Katelynne! These are the most adorable covers I have ever seen! I love the extra loops on it for attaching toys too.
